Covet Clann Melissa Darnell Books

I cannot contain my excitement right now!! I have been impatiently waiting for this book since December of last year. All I want to do is cry since I have to wait another year for the next book to come out. I absolutely fell in love with the first novel and this one was just as good, if not better. It exceeded my expectations and then some.

Savannah makes a promise to the vampire council that she will no longer date Tristan. There has been a treaty between the vampires and the Clann for generations. With Savannah being a dhampir, both sides are afraid that she may give in to her bloodlust and hurt Tristan. Something terrible happens and Savannah is determined to stay away from Tristan to protect the people she loves. Savannah also has to struggle with her new vamp senses. There's no way for me to not spoil this story so I will leave my synopsis there. I really hope things will eventually work out for Tristan and Sav. Their attraction is undeniable and Tristan will fight the Clann and vampires to get her back. Sigh....I love Tristan!!

I want to scream at the top of my lungs!!! I don't think words can describe how much I love this series. The author creates this amazing world of the Clann and vampires. There is a new species introduced in the book but my lips will remain sealed. The first book was pretty heavy on the romance but this was more of the paranormal. Don't get me wrong, there are still some scenes that were steam worthy. I was not expecting the outcome in the last chapter. I'm excited, sad and intrigued at the same time. There's also a sneak peak(more of a tease if you ask me) at the end of Covet for the next book, Consume. How can you do this to me?!? I need more of a tease than that. Can I get a blurb or something? This is killing me!! I'm very close to begging for it.

Covet Clann Melissa Darnell Books Reviews

I loved the way this books ends and how even when Sav and Tristan are no longer together we get to understand how their love keeps getting stronger over time. Sav is a very strong young woman and I hope to see her happy at the end of this series
I keep reading a little bit at a time and putting it away to read another book..just cannot get into this last book in this trilogy..the first book was the best in my opinion
Okay I really loved Crave and was so excited to hear it was going to be made into a saga. The sequel in a saga tends to fall short but that was not the case here. I read this in about 48 hours and was so excited with all that was going on in the book! Savannah moves in with her dad, learns about her bloodlust, and has to break up with Tristan! There's not a lot of romance in this one but there is a lot of mystery and action to make up for it!

I really liked learning more about Anne and Ron, we also had more of the Brat Twins and Dylan Williams who are great villains and Melissa Darnell added a couple extra villains to keep things interesting!

The cliffhanger is HUGE in this one and I didn't see it coming at all, not even at the end when it happened! I am so excited to see book three in this series and find out what happens with Savannah and Tristan! Yay! Excellent solid 4 stars! Great series!
Despite a screaming painful error (black cats which Savannah claims never to have heard of before book 2 but on pg 365 of book one mentions not once but twice) I was entranced by this book. I'm not sure what that says about me. My middle school students would LOOOVE this series. And my deepest thanks to the author (who I do not know) for minimizing the profanity, keeping it sensual enough to keep my young romantics captivated without making it too sexual for them. I'm certain that older YA paranormal fans would be equally engaged. This had exactly the right amount of content for my taste. Again thanks for keeping the profanity to a minimum. There were several times I thought, "This is Twilight FanFic." It probably isn't. Don't we just compare everything to that though? Didn't much matter when I was inhaling the book. I live in NorthCentral Texas but love East Texas and truly enjoyed reading things that are specific to Texas/The South (like Sonic and coke floats). It's going on my wall as recommended for my students.
This is the second book in The Clann series. It picks up right where Crave left off and only gets more complicated from there. There seemed to be quite a bit of angst in this one, and I loved it. And something happens at the end of this one that I did not see coming and that is going to make some major conflicts in the next book. As for this book, overall it was pretty good. Still, from what I remember of the first book, I like that one just a teeny bit more. One of the things I really like about this series is that they've known each other pretty much their whole lives, so its not like 'ohh hot mysterious stranger i'm inexplicably drawn to'. It made for a nice change and made their relationship a bit sweeter. Especially since they're trying to get through all this stuff thrown at them while being torn apart by both the Clann and the vampires. There's some stuff I was hoping the author had expanded on..maybe in the 3rd book.
I enjoyed this second book in the series and reading more of Savannah and Tristan, a modern day Romeo and Juliet of the supernatural variety. Savannah is a hybrid, part witch and part vampire though her vampire self is becoming more prominent every day. Tristan is a witch and soon to be Clann leader and their families are age old enemies and they have been warned to stay away from each other. As star-crossed lovers, Tristan wants to be with Sav no matter what the cost will be but she wants to protect him from herself as just a kiss could kill and drain him. The peace treaty is unstable and someone or something is trying to cause an all out war and Tristan could be among the first casualties if she doesn't find out who is doing these Clann killings. As Sav's new abilities develop she starts to teach herself magic to prepare in case she needs protection from the Clann members who are trying to run her out of town. A change in leadership sets a chain of events are set in motion and they will both lose people they love. Will they be able to survive the aftermath or will guilt destroy them?
